The abundance of game updates can make it easy to lose track of all the new things happening around the island. This is where the Event Board comes in. If you make your way to the Lakeside, which you can access directly from your map or by taking the downward path at the Plaza, you will be met with a large bulletin board. This is the Event Board.
This Event Board houses information for upcoming events that are happening around the island. Generally, the Event Board is updated every Monday.
The events are categorized as either game updates or community-held events. The game updates consist of anything from catalog releases to upcoming parties. Community-held events are events created and hosted by community members.
One of the neat and unique features about the Event Board is that you can create your very own event to host for the rest of the community to attend. It’s very easy to do too. Just click the “Create Event” button on the “Community Events” section of the Event Board. Doing so will bring you to this form. From there, click the “Create New Event” option and fill out the required fields. This should only take a few minutes in total to complete.
Also, just because you submit an event does not guarantee it will be posted on the Event Board. So, don’t feel discouraged if you don’t see your event published. There’s always the following week where you have the opportunity to submit your event again.
