Does your Penguin Name currently show as "P" followed by a series of numbers? For example, P123456. If so, this indicates that your username has not been approved yet.
Penguin Name verification is done manually by the Club Penguin Legacy Team. Therefore, it could potentially take up to approximately 3 days for it to be approved.
If your Penguin Name gets rejected by our Trust & Safety team, you will automatically receive a pop-up in-game upon your next login. This pop-up will allow you to submit a new Penguin Name that adheres to the Penguin Name Guidelines. It is important to note that your newly desired name will only be approved if it adheres to the Penguin Name Guidelines provided here: https://support.cplegacy.com/hc/en-us/articles/13190585884173-Penguin-Name-Guidelines.
Once you have submitted your new Penguin Name request, you will need to re-login with that newly desired Penguin Name to be able to access your Penguin account moving forward.
This prompt to change your unapproved Penguin Name can always be accessed via the Settings menu in-game by clicking the “?” button located at the far-right of the Toolbar. Therefore, do not worry if you accidentally close out of the automatic prompt that you receive upon your initial login or if you happen to change your mind regarding the name you submitted.
Please be aware that Penguin Name changes for unapproved usernames are not carried out via Support request. This is something that one will have to request via their in-game Settings.
