Our goal is to keep you well-informed and ensure a smooth experience as we prepare to release a series of major updates and content changes. As part of this process, we have carefully evaluated the overall economy of our game in order to achieve better balance.
Starting today, we will be implementing a new policy for inactive accounts. If a user has been inactive for an extended period of time, their Coins will be reset to the starter amount of 500 coins. Currently, only the Coins will be affected by this reset, but it's possible that more changes will be introduced in the future as we introduce new features.
We want to assure you that your account will never be deleted due to inactivity. However, we have introduced a feature called "Hibernation" for accounts that remain inactive for extended periods. Hibernation freezes the account and can only be unlocked by contacting our Support team. Additionally, we will soon provide users with the option to enable this feature manually.
We understand that you may have some questions about these updates, and we want to address them as best we can. Please find answers to some frequently asked questions below:
Q: How do we know when our Coins will be reset?
A: We can't definitively give you a timeframe on when your account's inactivity guidelines will take place as accounts will fall under different inactivity policies. Accounts with regularly good standing can have inactivity policies of up to 1 to 1.5 years. Accounts with poor activity can face policies of 6 months - 1 year. However you will receive warnings from us via e-mail if your account is close to entering the inactivity policy.
Q: How can we prevent the account from going inactive?
A: You can prevent your account from going inactive and having your Coins wiped by either consistently or occasionally logging onto your account to wipe your inactivity progress.
Q: Is there any way to get our stuff back after it's been wiped?
A: No, if your account has entered the inactivity policy, you will be unable to recover any lost Coins.
Q: Why is this happening?
A: Great question! There are multiple factors contributing to this decision. Firstly, we have implemented this measure as an additional step to prevent account selling, which we have observed an increase in reports of over the past few months. Furthermore, it helps us address potential Coin exploits and maintain a fair and secure gaming environment for all users. Another reason behind this policy is that we rely on the median average of our users' Coins when determining pricing in our catalogs. Having inactive accounts with outdated data would compromise the accuracy of our research, and we want to ensure that our pricing decisions are as precise as possible. Lastly, the reset of Coins serves to establish economic stability and balance within the game. It ensures that users who have been away for significantly prolonged periods of time can re-engage with a fair starting point, aligning with the overall game economy.
Lastly, we're implementing a new measure to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all players on our platform. In order to address consistent poor behavior and maintain a positive community environment, we will be introducing infractions for users with a consistently low reputation on the island.
For these accounts that fall under these severe restrictions and uphold the poorest reputations, we will be reducing the XP/Coin payouts from minigames. It's important to note that this measure will only be applied in extreme cases. Our intention is to promote the continued fairness and safeguard the well-being of everyone involved in the game.
